Total face value is locked at $3,000. It never changes. Burn five ones and you get a five. Same dollars, fewer notes.

3,000 is the most notes that will ever exist. After the mint nothing new is printed, and a five can never be broken back into ones. Every upgrade makes the collection smaller. Permanently.

Thirty hundreds is the end of the road. Getting there burns every one, five, ten and fifty ever made. It will probably never happen.

Face value
Every note's face value adds up to $3,000. Always.
Supply
The note count never goes up. 3,000 at the start. 30 at the very end.
$RESERVE
Every upgrade burns $RESERVE to the dead address. It never comes back.
The end
30 hundreds and nothing else. Only if everything below them is burned.

Every burn is permanent

The Exchange · $RESERVE

Burn to move up.

Hand in five ones. Burn $RESERVE. Get a five. The notes and the tokens are gone for good. Minting never needs $RESERVE. Moving up always does.

Why a reserve

Hard money
on a dollar chain.

Four rules. All of them live in the contract, where anyone can read them.

I
The unit

Arc runs on dollars

Arc is the first chain where gas is paid in USDC. Every fee, balance and price on it is in dollars.

So the first real collectible on Arc should be money. Not a cartoon. A banknote.

II
The supply

It only shrinks

Central banks print when they need more. The Reserve prints 3,000 once and stops.

After that, the only way up is to burn. Five ones make a five. Two fives make a ten. Every step destroys notes and burns $RESERVE. A hundred exists because a hundred ones were destroyed.

III
The draw

Nobody picks the art

Arc has no on-chain randomness. Traits rolled from chain data here can be predicted, and gamed.

Each note's seed comes from a salt locked in before the mint and entropy from the minters themselves. You can't pick your own note. Neither can we.

IV
The plate

The art lives on-chain

No uploads. No server. The contract draws every note from its seed each time it's asked. If Arc is running, your note exists.

It's an elaborate way to make a picture of money. So is money.

Total supply 3,000 notes
Hundreds 30 at most
New notes after the mint none

FAQ

The fine print.

The same answers we would give at the window, set down in order so that nobody has to ask twice. Nothing here is subject to revision after the sale opens.

C.01What am I buying

A $1 note. One of 3,000, and the only denomination anyone can mint. Its art is drawn on-chain and revealed after the mint closes.

C.02Price

1 USDC. Most mints on Arc have been free. This one isn't. A note that costs nothing isn't worth anything.

C.03When do I see my art

At the reveal. Until then every note shows the same blank "unissued" strap, for everyone, including us.

When the mint sells out or the deadline hits, anyone can close it. The salt is then published in a separate transaction and every note's art appears at once.

C.04How do I upgrade

In the Exchange, once the reveal is done. Hand in a full set, burn the $RESERVE, get the next note up. The notes you hand in are destroyed.

5 ones → a five2 fives → a ten5 tens → a fifty2 fifties → a hundred

Your first upgrade takes two confirmations: approve $RESERVE, then upgrade. After that it's one.

C.05What is $RESERVE

The Reserve's token. It launches on Argus and trades against USDC. Every upgrade burns it, and it never comes back.

Minting only costs USDC. Moving up always costs $RESERVE.

C.06Who holds the money

Nobody. Mint payments go straight to a wallet. The contract never holds a cent, so there's nothing in it to take.

C.07Is the art really on-chain

Yes. No IPFS, no server, no image files. The contract draws each note from its seed every time it's asked. Every note on this page came straight from the contract.

C.08Chain

Arc mainnet, chain 5042. Gas is paid in USDC, and a mint costs well under a cent in gas on top of the dollar.

C.09Can upgrades get more expensive

No. The burn rate can be lowered and locked. The contract has no way to raise it.

C.10Can anyone else upgrade my notes

Only you. Not a marketplace, not an app you've approved, not us. $RESERVE only burns when you sign the upgrade yourself.
